Today we begin looking at the blowing of the sixth trumpet. You may recall that the blowing of the first four trumpets were followed by natural disasters; after the blowing of the fifth trumpet we begin to see how God deals with the wicked. The “first woe” following the fifth trumpet demonstrate how wicked influences torment wicked men; the blowing of the sixth trumpet continues this same theme, illustrating how God deals with the wicked here on earth.
