In the first few verses of Hebrews 6, there is a passage that has caused many children of God to fall victim to the heresy that a child of God can lose his eternal salvation. Hebrews 6:4-6 indicates that a child of God can get to point in his or her life where it is “impossible” to renew them to repentance! But what kind of salvation is under consideration? As we examine this passage in its context, and comparing scripture to scripture, we will see that this is a reference NOT to eternal salvation but to temporal salvation. Praise God, a child of God can NEVER lose his eternal salvation!
