Sermon Series: The Gospel of Mark, Part Forty-One – Taking Jesus to Calvary II (Mark 14:41-65, 15:1-23)

by Elder Chris McCool, Pastor (preached 5/9/2021)

Jesus has crossed the Kidron’s bloody stream. He has agonized in the Garden of Gethsemane. But now He stands at the foot of Calvary, gazing up Golgotha’s hill. He has been mocked, beaten, scourged, made to wear a thorny crown; but now He is about to become sin for His people. What an awful, yet wonderful view! That the Son of God would suffer so for unworthy sinners is almost incomprehensible; yet His face is set like a flint, and nothing will dissuade Him from doing the Father’s will! Join us as we walk with the Savior a little bit further.
