As we began to see yesterday, our hearts will deceive us, and so we must guard them diligently! Unfortunately, King David did not do that, and he fell into a grievous sin with Bathsheba. As we conclude the sermon today, we find that there were ways David could have insulated himself from this sin, and ultimately we see the lifelong consequences of what he thought would be just “a one night stand.”
