Today, we conclude our study of the Book of Job. You may recall that James sums up the case of Job as follows: “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.” Jas. 5:11. The primary themes have been patience, pride, and pity, and now we add repentance to the mix: Job’s repentance in chapter 42 was pleasing to God! And God gives Job blessings that abound for the rest of his life. Thank you for joining us for this series, and may we all be encouraged by the example of Job and the mercies of God that we see in his life!
