On the Road to Emmaeus, two disciples were doubting and downcast. When Jesus appeared to them, they did not recognize Him because He did not want to be recognized, but He began to teach them about the resurrection. He asked a question: “Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and entered into His glory?” In today’s message, we answer this question from Scripture, and find that yes, indeed, Christ had obligated Himself to suffer on behalf of His children, but not one of His children deserved it!
