In the verses under consideration today, we read about the visit of Jesus to the home of Martha and Mary. These two were sisters, and they were hosting the Savior, but they reacted to His presence in vastly different ways. Martha was a worker, and she was “cumbered about much serving.” Mary, on the other hand, sat at the feet of Jesus while He was there and listened to His word. The lesson here is clear: work is NOT worship! In fact, work can get in the way of worship! Join us as we look at this account and see the proper place that we should be – in the presence of Jesus!
