In the last post, we began looking at the context of John 3:16 in order to understand that this well-known verse is NOT a verse about eternal salvation, but about eternal security. And we have begun to see the similarities between the serpent that Moses lifted up in the wilderness, and the lifting up of Jesus Christ on the cross.
