As we continue looking at the letter to Sardis, we see that this church – which had a name that it was alive, but is actually “dead,” according to Jesus – is given some instructions and some hope. There were apparently members of this church that had continued to walk in a way that was pleasing to God, and to them Jesus gave great encouragement!
