In our articles of faith, we find the following language: “We believe in . . . the final perseverance of the saints through grace. . . .” What does this mean? Does this mean that all children of God WILL PERSEVERE in faith and good works, or else they never really were a child of God in the first place? The answer is clearly “no,” but rather this means that all of God’s elect children are fully preserved in grace by the power of God. Join us as we begin looking at this principle of perseverance and preservation in the Bible.
