The Resurrection of Christ is an absolute necessity to the success of His work. If He did not rise again, then He was just a charlatan as the Pharisees said! But the Corinthian church was wallowing in the belief that there was no such thing as a bodily resurrection for the children of God, and Paul upbraids them and corrects them by showing that, if there is no bodily resurrection for us, then there was no bodily Resurrection for the Lord Jesus Christ. And if that is the case, then we are still lost in our sins!
