In Ruth, we see many parallels to the redemption story. Boaz certainly is a type of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we often read our text verse as applying to His purpose in eternal salvation. But there is another application: not only has Jesus done all that is required for eternal redemption, but He also does all that we need and more in this time world.
