According to most Christian historians, the Gospel of Mark was penned by John Mark, who had been a companion to Paul and Barnabas and the other disciples, and who in later years was a friend to the Apostle Peter. It was written first among the four gospels, and according to the first century churches, it was written by Mark but dictated by the Apostle Peter, as he awaited martyrdom in Rome. In this first message on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Chris introduces us to the primary concept set forth in this sweet, straightforward account of the life of Jesus: that Jesus Christ IS the Son of God! And that is GOOD NEWS – the true gospel!
