Today we conclude our study of the new birth, as affirmed by Article Six of the Articles of Faith of Zion Primitive Baptist Church. As we saw in the first half of this sermon, posted yesterday, the new birth brings a radical change tot he life of a child of God. What causes that change? Today, we see that, in sovereignly effecting the new birth, the Holy Spirit writes God’s laws in the heart and mind of the child of God. The royal law of love is the primary law, and the love of neighbor as oneself like unto it. It is these laws that God writes in our hearts in the new birth.
