Whosoever “BELIEVETH IN HIM”, Part 2 (John 3:16)
by Elder Chris McCool, Pastor (preached on May 11, 2025)
As we began to see yesterday, the phrase “believeth in Him” does not set conditions on our eternal salvation; rather, it deals with our assurance here and now. Those who believe have great assurance that they are part of that “world” that God loved, and for whom He sent His Son to die. Today we will also learn that our belief must be “in HIM,” and NOT in something that we have done ourselves! Ultimately, we will see that the “condemnation” spoken of in the verses following John 3:16 has a timely application, and does not carry an eternal consequence for unbelief. Join us for the conclusion of this in-depth study of John 3:16, a verse about assurance and not about human achievement.
