“FOR” God So “LOVED” the World, Part 2 (John 3:16)
by Elder Chris McCool (preached on April 20, 2025)
We began yesterday in a series entitled “Rightly Dividing John 3:16.” Many in the religious world mistake this verse as a regenerational verse, as opposed to an experiential verse. We have started our examination of John 3:16 by looking at the first word of the verse: “for.” This word “for” points to what has gone before, and what has gone before is Jesus’ declaration that He must be lifted up like the brass serpent in the wilderness. We have begun looking at that account from Numbers 21, and we are learning some important truths that apply to the sacrifice of Christ. As we conclude the sermon today, we turn our attention to another word in this verse: “loved.” Join us today as we continue our series on “Rightly Dividing John 3:16.”
