In the last post, we began looking at the responsibilities of children within the context of the family. We saw that children – particularly younger children who are still living at home – have a duty to “obey” their parents in all things. Today, we turn to the requirement of “honoring” our parents. All children – not just the younger ones – have a duty throughout their lives to “honor” their parents. We will see today what it means to do so, and learn once again that “it’s not about us,” but about honoring God with our lives!
