As we wind down the lesson from the letter to the church at Sardis, we recognize that we have spent several sermons on this topic. But it is important to us today to know what it means for a church to have a reputation that it is “alive,” and yet it is “dead.” More importantly, we need to know how to revive to the point of being “alive” again.
