In this introduction to the Book of Revelation, Elder Abernathy is teaching us about the encouraging nature of the message. John and all of the Christians of his day were under dire persecution. Yet in the vision given to him in his exile on Patmos, God lifts him up above the troubles of this world, and reminds him that Christ has all power and still takes care of His churches!
