In this passage, which contains the second “Servant Song” of Isaiah, we see the Successful Servant. We understand this Suffering, Successful Servant to be the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, the Messiah of Israel! He is prophesied here to successfully complete the work that He is sent to do, which is to deliver all of His children from the bondage of sin.
