In the first half of this sermon, we saw that the same David who had spared Saul’s life was now seeking the life of Nabal and his entire band, simply because Nabal had insulted David and his men. What a contradiction in responses! But isn’t that just like us? Don’t we sometimes act in godly restraint, only to turn right around and lash out in selfish anger? But the Lord sent Abigail, a godly influence, to calm David and dissuade him from a course of conduct that he would one day regret. Join us as we see this sweet sister in Israel saving David from his own foolishness.
