Article Three of the Articles of Faith of Zion Primitive Baptist Church reads in part as follows: “WE BELIEVE IN THE DOCTRINE OF ELECTION, PREDESTINATION, AND . . .THAT GOD CHOSE HIS PEOPLE IN CHRIST BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN.” This has been the belief of Zion church since its constitution in 1847. But what is the doctrine of election? And what about misconceptions that persist about what PBs believe about election? In this series of messages, Bro. Chris sets forth, first, what we do NOT believe, and then proceeds to lay out what the Bible teaches about the doctrine of election.
