When Jesus proclaimed to the disciples that they all would betray Him, Peter immediately and vehemently spoke up and asserted that he would NEVER betray the Lord! Jesus looked at him – with compassion, no doubt – and told him that he would deny Him three times before the night was out. Of course, Peter didn’t believe Jesus, and certainly he was sincere in his commitment to the Lord. But as Pastor McCool shows us in this message, pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall!
